Galaxy Precision, Inc. specializes in precision turning and milling of large and small parts. We can manufacture one part or a group of parts, including outsourced operations such as heat-treating, plating and other operations as needed. Our highly trained employees can manufacture parts from drawings, CAD files, sample parts or hand drawings. Galaxy Precision can produce parts that range in size from less than an ounce to weighing over a ton.
We make parts from steel, aluminum, stainless steel, brass, plastics, cast iron and other materials. At Galaxy Precision we can start in bar form, flame cut, plasma cut, laser cut, forging, casting, welding or other.
Our operation includes both vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers, some with pallet changers and others with rotating pallets to make production of parts as cost effective as possible. We also utilize large and small CNC turning centers with tailstocks and some with large through headstock capacity to accommodate short and long parts. Galaxy Precisions CNC turning centers abilities include up to 36” swing and 64” long capacity, when loading through the headstock abilities increase which accommodates for much longer parts. Bar fed turning is done to make small parts efficiently with capacity up to 1-5/8” diameter. Prototype parts are manufactured as needed.
We have complete tool room capabilities, being able to design and manufacture jigs and fixtures for our production demands and customers' needs. We have manual turning capability up to 40” diameters and 12' lengths. All of our tool room machines are equipped with digital readouts.
Quality Control
Galaxy Precision uses ISO9000 as a model for our inspection procedures. We provide first piece, in-process and final inspection documentation as requested by the customer. We have new programmable software, along with a new computer for our Numerex Coordinate Measuring Machine that is able to print out the results for customers to review keep on record.
Galaxy Precision uses Shoptech E2 Software, which is a total shop control and tracking system used to keep jobs on schedule, materials ordered on time and tracks all production times for each operation. This software improves the overall efficiency of manufacturing precision machined parts.
